Anton Geyer is managing director of inspire research. He has been working for more than 20 years in research, technology and innovation policy as a consultant and advisor.
From 2002 to 2004 Anton worked on European research and innovation policy issues at IPTS – Institute for Prospective Technological Studies of the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC) in Seville, Spain. Anton started his consulting career at the Department of Systems Research at ARC Seibersdorf Research (now AIT – Austrian Institute of Technology), Austria’s leading Research and Technology Organisation (RTO). Before starting inspire research in 2016 he was senior consultant (since 2004) and authorised representative (since 2008) at the Vienna office of the Technopolis Group.
Anton’s work focusses on structural measures to improve science, research and innovation systems on regional and national levels. Many of Anton’s assignments deal with the effective design of interfaces and networks within and among universities, research organisations, industry and other stakeholders. Anton’s second key competence area is impact analysis and benchmarking.
Anton holds a Master degree in Technology and Innovation Management from SPRU –
Science Policy Research Unit, University of Sussex at Brighton, UK. He received his engineering degree
(Dipl.-Ing.) from Graz University of Technology in Technical Chemistry / Chemical Engineering. Anton
works in English and in German.
